Last month we were able to travel back to my hometown of Louisville, KY to photograph my old high school friend, Mallory’s, wedding. We reconnected a few years ago when I photographed her and her sister’s Christmas photos. When the three of us saw each other it was almost as if no time had passed. I am so beyond happy to have reconnected with both of them and it was such an honor to capture Doug and Mallory’s wedding. Their ceremony took place at the cute Anchorage Presbyterian Church which has the most beautiful grounds! Their ceremony was unplugged, which we definitely love and my favorite moment was when Doug saw her for the first time. He was so overwhelmed and shed a tear. The love they have for one another is so evident. I love being around them and can see how well they compliment each other.
Their reception was at Mellwood Arts Center and I am seriously so obsessed with their details and florals. J Elizabeth Designs did an amazing job with all of their bouquets and centerpieces! Their reception was full of so much emotion and fun! Doug and Mallory surprised their family and friends with a photograph montage dedicated to those who mean so much to them. The toasts from Doug’s best man and Mal’s sister Megan were so heartfelt and at the end of Megan’s toast the whole wedding party came to the dance floor singing and dancing to one of Mal’s favorite songs. Their day was truly a blast and it was our privilege to photograph it! Enjoy some favorites from their day!

Doug and Mallory didn’t have a first look, but since she is a hair stylist she wanted to style his hair. His eyes remained closed as she styled and it was beyond one of the sweetest moments of the day.
