Wedding season is winding down and while I still have a long list of To Dos, we are entering our off season and I’m excited for the time to refocus and work on some side projects. One thing I’m working on is getting caught up on blogging. I realized that I haven’t even shared about our trip to Europe that we took in the fall! It’s going to come in four different parts and the first is today!
While planning for our trip, we knew that we wanted to have a photo session of us in Paris. I had been dreaming about going to Paris since I was 12 and I wanted to have our memories captured. I had been following the work of Kayla Barker for a while now, and I knew that she was the photographer who I would want to capture those sweet moments. I reached out to Kayla and she was going to be traveling to Italy around the same time, so we coordinated a date and time (sunrise I might add) and all that was left to do was figure out our wardrobe and a makeup artist! My tulle skirt is from BHLDN and my cashmere sweater and Matt’s blazer are from J. CREW. Kayla gave me a few suggestions but I ended up booking with Onorina with Honorine Makeup Studios and she did a fantastic job!! She was so sweet and is super talented in her field!
We met up with Kayla and her hubby, Clint, at the Trocadero at 7:15am and just walked around the area for a bit before we hopped the metro to the Jardin des Tuileries and then ended at a little cafe in the Opera District. We had a blast with them and they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Thank you again Kayla for such amazing photos that we are seriously going to treasure forever!! xoxo
After we received our images, Kayla sent us this beautiful box from La Rousse Shoppe with gorgeous prints from Richard Photo Lab!
Yay! I loved it so much and so happy I could capture these for you! Xoxo
