One of my favorite Valentine’s Day was the year we moved to North Carolina. My husband had done research on the restaurants in the area and took me to a nice quaint dinner he had called ahead and ordered champagne and the he gave me the most beautiful heart necklace with diamonds that I wear everyday now for the past 13 years.
My fiance made me the sweetest handmade card for our first valentines day! That’s my favorite memory.

It was our very first Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend had come to my apartment while I was in class. He left me a bouquet of paper flowers, with the sweetest note explaining why these flowers will last forever like his love for me. We don’t believe in buying real flowers because they die, for that very reason they won’t last as long as our love for one another. Every year he adds more flowers to the bouquet he bought for me that very first Valentine’s Day.
It was when my husband (then boyfriend) were dating in college. This was our first date and in a small college town, so the options were few and everything was booked. We tried to go to a nice restaurant anyway, but of course, we could not get in, so we drove around and tried some other places, but to avail. So finally we went to Red Lobsters, they had a two hour wait, but could get us in as soon as possible. We ended up going to walmart looking around and then Best Buy just to buy time. Eventually, it was our time, so we ate and then we back to our dorm. We wanted to see a movie too, but with waiting so long to eat, we just skipped it. Although, things did not go as he planned, we still ended up having fun.

My favorite valentine’s day memory was our 1st together. My boyfriend surprised me with a shirt with a big heart on it while waiting for me by my car patiently after work. He took me out to eat at olive garden then we arrived at home an the house was covered in rose petals an balloons an had a big box of chocolate on the bed waiting for me. It was a very sweet moment an day.
This year will be my best valentine’s day memory.
Matt and I have been together 8 months and I have never been so in love! We know we want to spend the rest of our lives together. So this valentine’s day will be the best because I’ve finally found the love of my life!
My now husband and I did one year of long distance while he was still in college. We would take turns driving the length of the state to see each other most weekends (he was in Boone and I was working in Rocky Mount). That year was really hard and he knew I was really missing him, my friends and family. When I was getting ready to head back home that Valentine’s Day weekend he surprised me with a book of photos he had made of us with sweet lyrics and quotes. He even left blank pages for us to add to it. It was so unexpected. Its still displayed in our living room.
My favorite Valentine’s memory is the year my husband proposed. He worked out of town, but flew back to Charlotte to surprise me with a Valentine’s proposal (complete with an annotated photo album of “our love story”). I had no idea, and it was the most amazing surprise gift!

I met my boyfriend my freshman year of college. He had just gotten back from war and his benefits hadn’t begun. We were the most broke college students. Months later that year Valentine’s Day came around and he surprised me with a romantic trip to the Biltmore. His benefits had finally begun and he saved up enough money for an amazing adventure. We stayed on the Biltmore estate three days, had a five star breakfast every morning and a cosy classy dinner each night. On our final day there we went horseback riding. It was the perfect Valentine’s Day weekend getaway. This year we will be spending Valentine’s Day at home because we are again broke. We are in the process of closing on our first home and saving every dime and penny for the closing ahead. I’m still sure our day will still be full of love on Valentine’s Day just like everyday we’ve had for over four and half years of dating.
My favorite Valentines Day…or I should say weekend was one in 2013. My then boyfriend took me to my favorite getaway spot, Galena, and planned an entire weekend for me that ranges from snowboarding (my very first time), fancy dinner, and shopping! BUT my favorite surprise of that weekend happened on the 15th, when he asked me to be his wife! Truly the best Valentines weekend, and definitely one I will never forget!!
My at-the-time boyfriend (now husband) had a track meet on February 14th, and we planned to go out for dinner whenever he came back from the track meet. I decided to leave him a surprise and decorated his college dorm door with post-it notes of math pick-up lines (he was studying to be a math teacher)! His dorm mates thought the math pick-up lines were clever, and he kept them on the door until they had to move out at the end of the year!
I shared this on Facebook, too! 🙂
I love my wife and we have spent many wonderful Valentine’s Days together but there is nothing like the love you receive from your children on Valentine’s Day. To witness their happiness as they send happy, heartfelt notes to their classmates. Their views are untarnished and they really believe in love and friendships.
My favorite memory was before we were even dating. My now husband surprised me with chocolates, roses, and stuffed animal. Needless to say we ended up dating, getting engaged and have been married for 3years strong.
My favorite memory of Valentines day was when my now husband were just friends. He surprised me with chocolates, roses, and a stuffed dog. Needless to say that we ended up dating, getting engaged and have been married for 3years strong. He’s my favorite Valentine XOXO
