After we spent two days in Ireland we hopped on a plan and made our way to Paris. I only speak a tiny bit of French, so we both were a bit nervous on how this leg of our trip would go. When we arrived we were picked up by a car sent by the hotel and taken to the Opera District where our hotel (Hotel Westminster) was. We were tired from an early flight but after checking in we started exploring the Opera District and stopped by a cute little cafe for a couple of cafe cremes. I love that at every cafe (which are pretty much every few feet) the outside chairs face outward so you can people watch! Our five days in Paris were kind of a whirlwind but we spent time walking through the city, visiting Notre Dam and Versailles. We both were so in awe of all of the detailed architecture every where we looked. Enjoy some favorite images from our time in Paris!!
This first set of images were photographed with my Canon 35mm film camera with Porta 400 speed film and developed at PhotoVision.
The Louvre
Our hotel!
Palais Royal
Notre Dam
Pont Alexander and this awesome street artist I actually bought a watercolor painting from!
Versailles! It so massive we didn’t finish looking through everything! The gardens alone take you 2 hours to get through.
The Hall of Mirrors is so stunning!! It was my favorite room in the palace.
From here down are all from my digital camera. This is still inside Versailles and it had the most magnificent and stunning detail every where we looked.
The locks on Pont Neuf.
The Louvre
Arc De Triomphe
We stopped into this little bakery and each got a croissant which was the best either of us had ever had! On our way to the Arc we walked down the Champs Elysees and stopped into Lauderee which seriously had the best macarons ever! It was such a cute shop with tons of gourmet treats!
We had dinner near Trocadero and after the sunset we were able to see the Eiffle Tower lit up and it was so magical!
These next set of images are a mashup from both of our phones.
