Today is a great day for me to come from behind the scenes and introduce myself. So here it goes, “Hello, my name is Matt.” I am the husband to the wonderfully talented, Samantha Laffoon and also her second shooter. The thing that makes today such a great day is that it is Samantha’s birthday! I wanted to leave her a special note, so instead I’ve decided to sneak on her blog and make a post about the wonderful Samantha Laffoon!

Samantha (actually Sam is what I call her as well as a variety of cheesy nicknames) is most certainly my best friend. I’ve always been the “comedian” who loves to crack jokes (most of which are pretty cheesy) and it would take a lot to get me to laugh; until I met Sam. No one else has the ability to make me laugh so hard that it hurts.

Sam is extremely passionate about her photography and I am continually impressed with her work. I have learned so much from her and have enjoyed every minute of it. Wedding and portrait photography just makes sense for her. She loves building relationships with people. She loves the art of photography as well as the technical craft behind it. She is always pushing herself to be better every time she picks up a camera.

I am so proud of her passion and relationship with Jesus Christ and love watching her learn and follow the Lord’s will for her life. She is open and genuine about what is on her heart. She is kind and genuinely cares about everyone she meets. Her love of people is a gift that few people have and I know the Lord will continue to use that to bless people.

Happy Birthday Sam! I love you more and more every day.
