These last couple of days have really felt like fall and I’m loving it! It makes my heart so happy and it’s one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves are turning colors, fall layers are coming out and I start to make everything taste like pumpkin! However, I may go a little overboard when it comes to pumpkin food. For example, I made pumpkin mac and cheese last night for our small group! But before you think wow she’s really crazy you should know that it turned out so well!! It was delicious, which is amazing considering I can’t really cook! But by making that I took my pumpkin obsession to a whole new level! If you want the recipe you can find it on my Pinterest board under Fall.
This Latest Loves post only consists of two things, but believe me I’m sort of obsessing over each of them.
A couple of weeks ago I went to a mixer hosted by The Knot at The Big Chill in Charlotte and it was absolutely amazing! I’ll be blogging about that soon! I was talking with another photographer, Lauren Rosenau, and she told me about her favorite photographer, Elizabeth Messina and the book she had written called The Luminous Portrait. Elizabeth Messina’s work is simply amazing and I had to order her book. Ever since I received it in the mail I haven’t been able to put it down. She shares so much about her experiences and how she achieves such beautiful portraits on film. The book is beautifully written and I could stare at the images all day.
This little soy candle from Target might be one of the best fall candles I’ve owned…and I’ve owned a lot. It’s constantly burning in my home and it makes me feel like all I need is to settle down with a blanket and a book.
