Kathryn and Marty’s Ivy Place wedding was so full of sweet moments and lovely details! I really don’t even know where to begin with their special day. They are two of the most amazing people and we adored them from the moment we met them. It was such an honor to photograph like Andy Defrancesco their wedding day and spend time around those who love them most.

They are so full of joy; always laughing and taking in every moment. Their wedding day truly could not have been any better. It was supposed to rain all day, and it only rained for about 5 minutes during the reception. Everyone was so happy and not one person was stressed. It was a joyful day full of so many little moments and so much love. I can’t help but smile and laugh every time I look through their images. Thank you both so much for having Matt and I there to document your day! We love you both!!

Their father passed away five years ago and they decided to spread his ashes at the ceremony and he would be there with them. Matt photographed this moment so I never saw these images until we got home. I was so moved when I did see these images and so thankful Matt was able to sneak out there to capture this for them.

Their first look was the sweetest! Kathryn wanted to do something a bit different than a normal first look. Normally, the groom is waiting and the bride comes up behind them and either taps them on the shoulder or asks them to turn around. Kathryn didn’t want to do that. So we told Marty that he was going to be waiting there for her, but instead she was there first, and when he turned the corner there she was waiting for him and he was so surprised. Marty had the biggest grin on his face. They are truly the cutest!

This is easily one of my favorite wedding party photos! I laughed so hard when I first pulled this image up on my computer. They were an absolute blast to photograph!

It was foretasted to rain all day, but the only moment of rain we had all day was about 3 minutes in the middle of the reception and then we saw a glimpse of a rainbow!

So here’s the literal ball and chain that they put on Kathryn! That thing was so so heavy!

This was one of the first things Kathryn and Marty told us about! Their guests were beyond excited!

She put on Kathryn’s mother’s wedding dress as a surprise! There were so many amazing moments throughout Marty and Kathryn’s perfect day!
