Sometimes your plans may not work out exactly as you’d hoped but in the end turn out to be a bright spot amidst the chaos. Matt and Mary planned to have their big wedding day on June 6th in Charlotte, but the pandemic had other plans. They made the hard decision to reschedule their celebration for October but still say “I do” on their original date. We were overjoyed for them and this decision to have two weddings and go ahead and get married. I mean how many times do you actually get to wear your wedding dress?
They had a family only ceremony at their church, which was so sweet and I loved being able to be a part of it. The look of pure love and joy on Matt’s face as he watched her walk down the aisle was beautiful. Getting to see them become husband and wife was the highlight of my spring. After they recessed up the aisle everyone went outside for the sweetest surprise. Their wedding party arrived in a caravan of cheers and signs. Mary and Matt weren’t expecting a parade at all and I completely teared up witnessing all that love being shown to such a special couple. I adore moments like that.
I couldn’t be happier for these two and can’t wait to celebrate with them again this October for wedding number 2! It’s going to be amazing!
