Josh and Avery’s Midtown Park Proposal and Engagement Photos

Josh and Avery’s Midtown Park engagement session was beyond fun and definitely a favorite of mine! Their proposal was so sweet and so them!

Proposal

Josh contacted me through Instagram excited to propose to his girlfriend Avery. They love going to Midtown Park with their adorable pup so he wanted to incorporate that into their engagement story. The idea was that he was going to plan an picnic for the two of them on a Saturday morning, which isn’t unusual for them to do, in their favorite spot with their favorite dog, and ask her to be his wife. I was all in for it! I got there early and hid waiting for them to arrive and for the signal, which would be him grabbing her hands. It was such a sweet moment and Avery had absolutely no idea it was coming! There were lots of tears and hugging. It was the best way for me to spend part of my Saturday! I love when I get to play a part in someone’s story.

Engagement Session

After he proposed and they had a few minutes together, I ran up congratulated them and introduced myself. We spent the rest of the session taking portraits in the peak of their excitement. They are seriously so easy to photograph. Their chemistry is adorable and they love to laugh together. Engagement sessions like this are amazing.
